Service Description
Level 3 FREC Course (FREC3) is a five day, nationally recognised qualification designed for anyone looking to work or volunteer as a first responder. This regulated award provides the core knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to deliver emergency care in pre-hospital and high-risk environments. Delivered in Loughborough by experienced paramedics and ambulance clinicians, this Level 3 FREC Course focuses on realistic, hands-on learning rather than classroom theory alone. You will be taught how to assess patients, manage life-threatening conditions, and work safely as part of a response team, using current best practice and national guidance. The course covers patient assessment, airway management, oxygen therapy, bleeding control, shock, trauma care, medical emergencies, and incident management. Training scenarios are practical and relevant, helping learners translate knowledge into confident decision-making under pressure. This Level 3 FREC Course (FREC3) is suitable for those entering roles such as event first aid, security medical support, emergency response volunteering, or progressing towards further pre-hospital qualifications. Small group sizes ensure high instructor support and meaningful feedback throughout the course. Successful candidates will achieve the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care, recognised across the UK.
